Nusuk Masar for Umrah companies: a readiness guide for season 1448

What was announced for season 1448, and how to get your agents, contracts and groups ready before anything is entered.

Nusuk Masar, from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, is where an Umrah season’s digital procedures run between Saudi Umrah companies, their agents abroad and service providers in the Kingdom — including, for season 1448, agent qualification and final contracting.

This guide sums up what was announced for season 1448, then focuses on what’s in your company’s hands: getting agents, contracts and groups ready before entry starts, because that’s where most delays begin. A missing document, a name spelled two ways, a traveller added at the last minute: these are cheapest to fix while the agency is still on the line.

What was announced for season 1448

On 11 May 2026 the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the launch of agent qualification and final contracting for the 1448 Umrah season on Nusuk Masar, automating the contracting stages between the parties and adopting one unified electronic contract.

The details are from the ministry’s announcement as reported by Okaz and Makkah Newspaper on 11 May 2026. Requirements and dates change from season to season, so check with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Nusuk before acting.

Get your agents’ files ready for qualification

Qualification happens on the platform, but your own file on each agent is what makes it quick: who the agency is, who represents it, which market it works in, its licence and expiry date, and your contract with it for this season.

  • The agency’s legal name as on its licence, its country and market
  • A valid agency licence, with its expiry date
  • Named contacts for bookings, visas and finance
  • The season’s contract with its prices, commission and credit limit
  • Past seasons on record: volume, and how many travellers overstayed

Put your provider contracts in order

With final contracting on the platform, the unified e-contract becomes the reference with your housing, transport and catering providers. Before you contract, gather what each contract needs in one place, so you don’t find the gap between what you signed and what you sold after the season starts.

The simple rule: the package you sell is built from these same contracts. If a package’s price and its contracts’ cost disagree, find out before you sell, not after you invoice.

  • Housing: hotel, room types, nights, rates and release dates
  • Transport: routes between the airport, Makkah and Madinah, coach types and rates
  • Catering: meal plans and their prices per hotel
  • Enrichment: ziyarah programmes with their sites and days

One intake format for every agency

Agree one format for travellers’ details with every agency before the season opens, and send it to them in writing. One format means one set of checks and fewer mistakes.

  • A clear colour passport scan, with the machine-readable zone sharp and complete
  • The name exactly as the passport writes it
  • The passport number and expiry date exactly as printed
  • A recent personal photo
  • Whatever documents the programme asks for, for the traveller’s nationality

Check before you enter anything

Most files that come back do so for reasons you can check before entry. Run these checks on every list as soon as it arrives, and send anything incomplete back to the agency the same day.

  • The name on the booking matches the passport
  • Date of birth and sex exactly as in the passport
  • The passport’s validity covers the trip, per the requirements
  • No passport number appears twice in the same season
  • Travel dates fall inside the programme
  • Every traveller sits in the right group

Small, steady batches

Small daily batches are easier to correct than one big weekly batch, and your housing and transport teams can plan against ready travellers sooner. Make it a routine:

  1. Take agencies’ lists up to a set hour each day
  2. Run the checks, and send incomplete files straight back to the agency
  3. Enter the complete files in today’s batch
  4. Record what’s been entered and what’s waiting, group by group
  5. Share who’s ready with the housing and transport teams

After the visa: clearance and the stay

The visa isn’t the end of the work. Make sure every traveller is in the right group before it’s cleared to travel, and follow each pilgrim’s stay from entry to exit: anyone who overstays becomes a case the company follows up with the authority, and counts against the agency that sent them.

How Umrah Link helps

Passports, visas and tickets are read into their fields, the machine-readable zone’s check digits are verified, and a person reviews them. Nusuk Masar programmes, permits and readiness are recorded for each traveller in one checked list your team enters into Nusuk from — the system doesn’t submit to Nusuk on its own — and no group travels before it’s cleared. After arrival you see whose stay is ending, and a case opens if one ends with no exit.

Common questions

Does Umrah Link send data to Nusuk Masar automatically?

No. Your team enters what Nusuk needs from one checked list in Umrah Link; the system doesn’t submit to Nusuk on its own.

When do visa requests open for season 1448?

Per the ministry’s 11 May 2026 announcement, visa requests are received and processed from 14 Dhu al-Hijjah, and Umrah permits are issued on the Nusuk app from 15 Dhu al-Hijjah. Check the ministry for any update.

What is the unified e-contract?

One contract model the platform uses for contracts between Umrah companies and service providers, verifiable digitally by QR code, according to the ministry’s announcement.

What sends files back for correction most often?

Missing or unclear documents, a name spelled two ways, details that don’t match the passport, and travellers added at the last minute. All of them show up in a simple check before entry.
